The workshop addresses issues and concerns faced by those involved in the adoption process.

Discussion and advice will be offered by those who have been involved directly in adoption: adoptive parents, biological parents, attorneys, psychologists, and social workers.

This workshop will include:

• Legal information for Virginia, Maryland, and District of Columbia;
• How to Complete a Home Study;
• Open adoption or retaining confidentiality;
• Ways to avoid contested adoptions;
• Advertising strategies; and Birthparent perspectives.
